An Empathetic, Lived Understanding
From my own lived experience as an immigrant, I deeply understand what it feels like to start over in a new country: adapting to a foreign culture, missing home, and holding space for family while needing emotional support yourself. These transitions are not merely practical—they strike at identity and emotional safety.
My therapeutic approach is warm, deeply human, and grounded in clinical evidence. I work from a trauma-centered, feminist, and social justice lens, recognizing how cultural expectations, gender roles, and systemic pressures impact mental health. When helpful, I incorporate expressive elements inspired by art therapy to help clients express feelings that words cannot yet capture.
Outside the counselling space, you’ll find me outdoors camping, cycling, spending time at the gym, enjoying nature, and being with my family and pets. Authenticity, compassion, and human dignity are the pillars of both my personal life and my clinical practice.
